Looks like the McCain campaign may have done a bit of creative staging that’s now beginning to unravel. Upon a bit of investigation, some bloggers have learned that not only is ‘Joe’ not a licensed plumber, he’s never even apprenticed as a ‘plumber.’ ‘Joe’ is a member of the Associated Builders & Contractors, a nonunion trade group that has endorsed McCain. Also, Joe’s annual earnings amount to only $40,000, and the business he’s thinking of buying makes nowhere near the $250,000 he claimed in his discussion with Obama.

And while McCain and the conservatives have been raising so much havoc about ACORN, it seems that ‘Joe’ would make a wonderful poster child for an inaccurate and therefore illegal voter registration. There is no voter registration for S. Joe Wurzelbacher, however, there is one for S. Joe Worzelbacher who voted Republican in the Ohio Primary. He made to effort to correct the spelling, but it has been acknowledged as a spelling error by Linda Howe, executive director of the Lucas County Board of Elections.

One particular blogger upon calling the limited number of Wurzelbachers in trying to determine if S. Joe Wurzelbacher of Cincinnati, Ohio juat might be related to one Robert Wurzelbacher Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, who happens to be Charles Keating’s son-in-law. Robert Wurzelbacher Jr. was implicated in the Keating 5 scandal, and sentenced to 40 months in prison in 1993.
